COVID Setbacks & Weight Loss Stagnation

Question ➡️ Do you ever have periods where you feel like your progress has just completely gone stagnate on you and you aren’t losing any weight even though you’re still doing your work outs and eating right ?

Problem ➡️ I went through this since the start of Covid. Prior to March, I had dropped nearly 50lbs in just seven months and then Covid started and even though I was still doing my workouts at home, I was running a lot and as soon as things opened up again I was going to Orange Theory 6 times a week and I was working with an additional trainer 3 times a week, Playing volleyball 2 twice a week, dancing for hours 2–3 times, and it didn’t matter.. my progress just stagnated and I stayed at the same weight for five months.

Crushed Spirit ➡️ It was so frustrating and I already was experiencing incredibly difficult times — I was recently diagnosed (Mis-diagnosed) with an autoimmune disorder, grieving the loss of a very special guardian to me, and dealing with 2020..

I was more alone than ever and then with no new results I.. honestly, was at the lowest point I’ve ever been mentally & I almost completely lost motivation to continue on my fitness journey without those little milestones to keep me going. I had no idea what I was doing wrong.

Facts Time ➡️ I knew I needed to change it up and do something different because the problem wasn’t that I eating poorly or working out ineffeciently. The problem was somewhere else and if you are doing your workouts and eating a healthy diet and still not losing weight there’s usually something else going on in your routine that’s getting neglected and hindering you from getting the results you want.

Change ➡️ I spent the last few weeks immersing myself in the fitness community that I joined and utilizing the accountability groups to keep me effective, motivated, active, and focused on total mind and body wellness.

Now ➡️ I spend less time working out and get better results because I put that extra energy into other things that effect weight loss.

Now ➡️ I spend less money on my fitness ventures than I was before and I’ve seen my progress flourish again.
